Silk Purse, Sow's Ear is a small, independent jewellery studio based in Edinburgh, Scotland. They specialise in making unique, highly-personalized and sentimental engraved jewellery using good quality materials. They think up inventive and unusual ways for you to add meaning and charm to your jewellery and gifts, using inspiration from antique Victorian lockets, Art Deco, natural botanical designs and other treasured mementos and incorporate them into the designs. These beautifully detailed art deco earrings feature a stylised geometric turquoise opal glass with a single freshwater pearl. The freshwater pearl has a very subtle iridescent colour, which takes on an amazing, beautiful sheen in certain lights. The drop and settings are gold plated brass. The earrings have a post fastening with butterfly backs. The length of these earrings is around an inch and a half (35mm) with the pearl designed to sit around an inch below the earlobe.
